About Us

The Norfolk Center Cemetery was established in 1757, a year before the town of Norfolk was incorporated on October 12, 1758, and is therefore the oldest official burial ground in our town.

Our Mission

Preserve, maintain, and enhance the beauty of our historic burial grounds.

Our Values

Norfolk Center Cemetery offers a historic and bucolic final resting place for your loved ones. Along with traditional burial plots, we also offer a beautiful artisan-built serpentine stonewall columbarium.

"When the leaves fall, the whole earth is a cemetery pleasant to walk in. I love to wander and muse over them in their graves. Here are no lying nor vain epitaphs."

– Henry David Thoreau
